Volunteer Information

The 2009 World Men’s Softball Championship will require approximately 500 volunteers to assist in a number of areas. As a volunteer you will be asked to work a minimum of 5 shifts of approximately 4 hours each to be accredited. Volunteer accreditation will provide you with access to the venue through the volunteer entrance, a souvenir clothing item, access to the volunteer parking area and access to the volunteer services area which will provide beverages/snacks on the days you are volunteering. You are also invited to the Volunteer Appreciation Night which will be scheduled after the event.

Volunteer orientation sessions will be held for all areas to ensure all volunteers are prepared for their duties and more importantly to become an ambassador for the Championship and the City of Saskatoon. Volunteering in this International event will allow you to meet people from all over the World, to create new friendships and to show the volunteer pride and support that exists in Saskatoon.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, complete the Volunteer Application Form with your areas of choice and your availability during the event.

Scheduling of volunteers will occur in April 2009 so please forward your information as early as possible.

For this event, a $25.00 volunteer fee will be required and is payable at the first accreditation night that you attend. These will be scheduled on a monthly basis, likely beginning in March/09.
